One of the first questions we hear from buyers is simple: "How does membership work here?" It's a fair question, because at The Club at Quail Ridge, buying a home and joining the club go hand in hand. Within our 600-plus acres in Boynton Beach there are 947 residences, and every one of them comes with a resident membership in a private, gated, member-owned club that was voted a Platinum Club® of America for 2027–2028.
Our on-site team walks buyers through this every day. Here is how Quail Ridge membership works, what each category includes, and what to ask before you write an offer.
Membership Comes With Your Home
Quail Ridge is a mandatory-membership community. All residents are required to hold one of three resident memberships: Full, Intermediate or Primary. The club is not open to the public, and resident membership is available only through the purchase of a home inside the gates.
That structure is a big part of what makes Quail Ridge feel the way it does. Members took ownership of the club in 1981, so the people who play the courses, dine in the clubhouse and use the courts are also your neighbors. Everyone has a stake in keeping the club at its best.
In practical terms, membership is part of your purchase from the start. When you find the right home, you also choose your membership category and go through the club's membership approval process, which our team coordinates alongside your contract so the two move together. Applicants need two member sponsors, and if you don't yet know anyone at Quail Ridge, we're happy to help connect you with potential sponsors through our Membership committee. Membership approvals are issued monthly, so we'll help you plan your timing around your closing.
The Three Resident Membership Categories
Full Membership
Full membership includes use of all golf, racquet sports, spa, fitness and social facilities of the club. Full members pay no greens fees or court fees for golf and tennis; golf cart fees apply. If golf is a regular part of your week, Full membership is the natural choice, with unlimited access to both championship courses:
- The North Course, originally designed by Joe Lee and reimagined in 2025 by Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design
- The South Course, redesigned in 2019 by Bobby Weed
Intermediate Membership
Intermediate membership includes the racquet sports, fitness and social facilities of the club, plus 40 rounds of golf per household each year. During the off-season, Intermediate members enjoy unlimited golf at 50% of the guest fee. It's a good fit for anyone who plays a few times a month in season and wants more golf once the winter crowds thin out.
Primary Membership
Primary membership includes the same racquet sports, fitness and social facilities, plus 20 rounds of golf per household each year, with the same off-season benefit of unlimited golf at 50% of the guest fee. Buyers who are drawn mainly to tennis, pickleball, the spa, dining and the social calendar often find Primary the right match.
What Every Membership Includes
Whichever category you choose, you have full access to the life of the club beyond the golf course:
- A reimagined Racquet Sports Center with 16 Har-Tru tennis courts and a six-court pickleball facility
- A Spa & Fitness Center
- A roughly 60,000-square-foot clubhouse with fine and casual dining, plus pick-up and delivery for members
- Community pools and miles of walking trails
- A full calendar of social, cultural and sporting events
Dining at Quail Ridge is reserved for members and is not open to the public, which keeps the clubhouse feeling like your own. There is no dining minimum, so you dine at the club as often as you like and pay only for what you order.
Understanding the Costs
Club membership has its own costs, separate from the price of the home and from your village or property association fees. When you compare homes here, it helps to look at the full picture, which typically includes:
- A capital contribution at purchase, which is non-refundable and varies by membership category
- Annual dues, which also vary by category
- Golf cart fees and, for Intermediate and Primary members, guest-fee-based rates for off-season golf
- No dining minimum: there is no food and beverage minimum to budget for
- Association fees for your village, which cover services like exterior painting and landscaping in many areas
- Any assessments the club or your association has approved
Club fees are set each year, so we don't publish figures here that could go out of date. Your Quail Ridge Realty team can share the current schedule for each category and help you put Full, Intermediate and Primary side by side, based on how much golf you actually expect to play.
Guests and Visitors
Members can share Quail Ridge with friends and relatives in several ways. Guests may visit when accompanied by a member, and when you're away, the club's "Use of Residence" program lets approved guests stay in your home with club privileges for up to four two-week stays each year. Golf for guests is limited, particularly during the November-through-April season, so tee times stay available for members in residence.
Quail Ridge also offers guest rentals on property, which are a lovely way for visitors to experience club life up close.
Try the Club Before You Buy
If you're seriously considering Quail Ridge, ask us about the Discover Quail Ridge Membership Experience, a four-day, three-night stay in one of our Kittiwake residences that includes lodging and full membership access so you can see the club for yourself. The club also offers limited non-resident programs, including Summer Golf Participation (typically May through October) and Non-Resident Racquet Sports Participation, though resident membership comes only with a home here.
Kittiwake: A Closer Look at Club Life
Kittiwake is a small, distinct neighborhood of 57 one-, two- and three-bedroom townhomes and Terrace condominiums, just a short walk from the clubhouse along the South Course. It is also home to our guest rental program and the Discover Quail Ridge Membership Experience. Each rental residence is owned by a Quail Ridge member, and stays are available by invitation from members, club management or our real estate team. Guest stays carry a three-day minimum stay, and Kittiwake guests receive their own membership number to charge golf, dining and fitness while they experience daily life at the club. If you're considering Quail Ridge, we're happy to arrange an invitation. Winter availability is limited, so it pays to plan ahead.
Kittiwake is also an option for buyers who expect to use their home part of the year. Owners with a Full membership can choose to place their residence in the rental program on an annual basis, and Quail Ridge rental management handles the details. Rental income can help offset the costs of ownership, and our team can walk you through current Kittiwake listings and how the program works.
How We Help You Through the Process
Buying in a private club community has a few more steps than a typical home purchase. Our team works inside the gates every day and handles nearly all of the real estate activity in the community, so we can:
- Explain the differences between categories and help you choose the right fit
- Provide the current fee schedule and association information for the homes you're considering
- Coordinate the membership application and approval process alongside your purchase, including connecting you with member sponsors if needed
- Introduce you to the club's membership office
If you're still deciding what kind of home suits you, our guide to homes at Quail Ridge walks through the Garden and Terrace condominiums, Courtyard Villas, custom homes and Kittiwake.
